Terms of Service

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]

Welcome to WorldBuilder, operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME]. These Terms are an agreement between you and us about using the service. Please read them with a parent or guardian if you are a kid. By creating an account or using WorldBuilder, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use WorldBuilder

  • If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must give verifiable consent before you can use the account’s features, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • If you are between 13 and 17, you may use WorldBuilderonly with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
  • By using the service you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

Keep your login details private and let a parent/guardian help manage the account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at [privacy@your-domain.com] if you think someone else is using it.

3. Rules for using the service

WorldBuilder is a friendly, creative space. You agree not to:

  • Post content that is sexual, hateful, violent beyond age-appropriate fantasy, harassing, or otherwise harmful.
  • Share real personal information about yourself or others in your stories or chats.
  • Try to break, overload, scrape, or abuse the service, or get around usage limits or safety features.
  • Use the service to do anything illegal, or to impersonate someone else.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules or put others at risk.

4. Your content

You own the stories, characters, and other content you create. To run the service, you give us a limited license to store, display, and process your content for the purpose of operating WorldBuilder for you (including sending it to our AI provider to generate responses, as described in the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for the content you create and confirm you have the right to create it.

5. AI features

WorldBuilder uses artificial intelligence to suggest ideas, give feedback, and help you write. AI output is generated automatically, is provided “as is,” and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not what you expected. It is meant for creative fun — it is not professional, legal, medical, or other expert advice. Always use your own judgment.

6. Our content & intellectual property

The WorldBuilder app itself — its name, design, code, and the AI companion characters — belongs to [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] and is protected by law. These Terms do not give you rights to our branding or software beyond using the service as intended.

7. Ending your use

You (or a parent/guardian) can stop using WorldBuilder and ask us to delete the account at any time by emailing [privacy@your-domain.com]. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

WorldBuilder is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where required, notify you or a parent/guardian.
